Mandrels for Filament Winding Fiberglass Tanks and Ducts
Dura-Wound duct and tank mandrels are fabricated from steel with a steel shaft and internal bracing. The mandrel shown (above) is 60" diameter by 22' long, hinged on one side, featuring four machine screw actuators coupled inline and activated from the tail-stock end. Pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical acutators are also available.
